01Scope

These terms apply to two things operated by blue media labs GmbH: the Herotime iOS app and the smartstopwatch.com website. Sections 02–03 concern the app; section 04 concerns the website. The app is distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store, and your download and use of it are also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), supplemented by these terms.

02The app — trial and subscription

Herotime offers a one-month full-feature free trial. After the trial, continued use requires an auto-renewing annual subscription, currently offered at an introductory relaunch price of $9.99 per year (regular price $49.99 per year), or the equivalent local App Store price. The subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. Purchases, renewals, refunds, and payment processing are handled by Apple under App Store terms.

03The app — fair use, no warranty for timing outcomes

Herotime is a precision tool for manual sports timing, and manual timing depends on the person tapping. We build the app with great care, but we cannot warrant specific timing accuracy for competitive or official purposes; for officially sanctioned results, use the timing infrastructure your governing body prescribes.

04The website

smartstopwatch.com is provided for information about Herotime. We work to keep it accurate and available, but provide it "as is," without warranty, and may update or change its content at any time. Please don't misuse the site — no attempts to disrupt it, to access it other than through its intended interface, or to scrape it at a scale that burdens the service. External links are offered for convenience, and we are not responsible for third-party sites. How the website and the app handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.

05Intellectual property

The Herotime app, this website, and their content are protected by copyright. The Tap & Arrange™ method is protected by U.S. Patent 11,080,947 B2. If you are interested in partnership or license agreements, talk to us.
