One of the original few of Swiss producers of mechanical stopwatches; now a global luxury watch maker with still a heavy link to the timing industry. Part of the Luis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH) luxury goods group. As with every luxury watch maker, TAG Heuer timing solutions are just a niche in the company’s overall business.
Current models: TAG Heuer HL-400 Pocket-Pro Electronic Stopwatch in nine versions for different sports and other application areas. Each stopwatch can be connected to a computer with a TAG Heuer-supplied program via USB cable. The program is available exclusively as a Microsoft Windows application. Rare in the industry, cable and program also allow Firmware updates of these high-end stopwatch mini-computers. Here’s an overview video.
Model HL-400-DF is special in that it can be used in conjunction with Swiss-born Dartfish‘s myDartfish Express sport video analysis app, which supposedly starts and syncs data with the operation of the HF-400-DF. The connection is via Bluetooth. Here’s the announcement by TAG Heuer from mid 2016.
